Going to the shop to try on a lid? Here's a few things to remember:

Bring your goggles.
Some goggles fit helmets, some don't. If you don't have your goggles handy, ask the sales personnel to provide you with the same or a similar model so you can try your new Boeri Helmet on with the goggles you will be skiing or snowboarding in.

Suggested goggles:

  1. Smith Sport Optics - I wear the Simples, but the Cascades fit like a glove too! For more information on Smith Sport Optics, call 800-459-4903 or https://www.smithsport.com.
  2. Scott USA - Classic, Performance, Downhill and the Pro I have found fit my helmet great. For more info on Scott USA, call 208-622-1000 or https://www.scottusa.com.
  3. Oakley, Inc. - Many of the staff here wear Oakley. Best fit with BoeriHelmets is found in the O-Frame, E-Frame, and the new A-Frame. Call (714)-951-0991 or https://www.oakley.com

Know your Head Circumference.
Finding out your head size is easy. Take a tailor's measuring tape and measure your head above the ears and right above your eyebrows. If you know your fitted hat size you can use that as well. In order to convert inches or hat size to centimeters, use the chart below.

The Five Step Fit.
When trying on your helmet follow the five steps below to help insure a correct fit.

1. Measuring Tape

To determine correct size, wrap the Boeri Fit tape around head, just above eyebrows. Note the size of your chosen model at the point of overlap.

2. Putting on Helmet

Align the front rim of the helmet above your eyebrows. Hold the straps on both sides and roll the helmet over the back of your head. To be effective, the helmet should sit so that it covers your forehead to just above your eyebrows, not pushed back like a Harley "skull cap".

3. Check for Gaps

Pads should be flush against your cheeks and forehead. The back of the helmet should not touch the nape of your neck.

4. Roll Test

With the chinstrap fastened your helmet should be snug and comfortable. Try to Roll your helmet off your head. If the skin on your forehead moves, you have a good fit.

5. Proper Use

Be sure your helmet is fitting above your eyebrows and that your goggles fit your face while wearing the helmet as shown.
